The Ahjnae Story

Work that flows together harmoniously, reflects an ever-changing world, and is inspired by all walks of life - this is what Claudia Lambdin, the creator of Ahjnae Collage, manifests in her award-winning collages. Through hand-cut paper, the viewer experiences a mixed-media, old school, eclectic collage that unlocks a third eye reality of the soul, or “Ajna”.

Claudia is a local artist residing in Upstate New York in a quaint farmhouse on 200-acres. Her love for repurposing, the arts, and the world around her is what makes up each piece. Every collage is different and conveys many meanings for those that view it. You’ll find, when viewing her artwork, that inspiration comes to Claudia through animals, nature, spirit, soul, dreamwork, and the whimsical, resulting in colorful and intricate hand-cut pieces.

In every piece, you’ll find a floating fish, Claudia’s signature. Why fish? Fish makes it unique to Claudia and provides the collage with movement, which brings it together in a way that completes each collage. When looking for the fish, you’ll discover a world's worth of symbolism and imagery hidden beneath.

Claudia’s work can be found in coffee shops throughout New York state. Her work can also be found at 15 STEPS in Ithaca, NY, The Purple Painted Lady in Macedon, NY, Corina’s Contemporary Jewelry & Fine Arts in Ballston Spa, NY, and on her website, Ahjnae.com

Claudia’s collages consist of wall art, cards, and much more to come.
